Most tools on this site do their work inside your browser, which means the file you open never travels anywhere. Some cannot, and those are listed below by name. If you are about to put something confidential through a tool, this page is how you check rather than taking our word for it.
“In your browser” means the processing code is downloaded to your device and runs there, the same way a spreadsheet formula recalculates locally. Your file is opened by the page you already have open. No copy is transmitted, so there is nothing on our side to store, log or lose, and the tool keeps working if your connection drops.
The 18 exceptions are not oversights. Each one needs something a browser genuinely cannot do: software that has no browser equivalent, an AI model that runs elsewhere, or fetching a web address that is not the page you are on. Where only part of a tool leaves your device, the entry says which part rather than glossing over it.

The work needs software that cannot run in a browser, so the file is sent to a ToolsMonk server over HTTPS, processed, and returned. It is not stored afterwards.
Your resume is built and exported in your browser. Content is sent to a ToolsMonk server only if you choose to save it to your account.
The feature calls an external AI model, so the text or image you give it is passed on to that provider and handled under their terms as well as ours.
Ordinary editing, annotation, form filling and signing happen in your browser. Only the optional AI features send data to an AI provider: the AI summary sends document text, and the AI form designer sends the description you type.
Adding fields, filling a form and every exported PDF happen in your browser. Only the optional AI designer sends the description you type to an AI provider, and your own PDF is never sent.
Ordinary editing, filters, layers and export happen in your browser. Only the AI panels, such as AI image generation, send data to an AI provider.
Designing an icon, resizing artwork you upload and every exported file happen in your browser. Only the optional AI tab sends your text prompt to an AI provider, and your own artwork is never sent.
You supply a URL rather than a file. A ToolsMonk server visits that address and analyses what it finds, because a browser cannot fetch another site directly.
Not one tool in these categories sends anything to a server.
Worth being straight about the boundary, because a disclosure that overstates itself is worse than none:
You do not have to trust this page either. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use any tool in the browser-only group: you will see the page and its processing code download, and no upload of your file. The same list is published as machine-readable JSON and every record in our public catalog API carries the same flag, so an AI assistant can warn you before your data goes anywhere.
