The Reading Speed Test measures how fast you read in words per minute, then puts that number in context against typical reading levels from average to speed reader. You read a graded passage (or your own pasted text), a timer records how long you take, and the tool computes your WPM.

Speed alone can mislead, so an optional comprehension quiz follows the built-in passages and produces an 'effective WPM', your speed weighted by how much you actually understood. It's a fairer measure than raw pace, because reading quickly without absorbing the content isn't real reading.
