Typing Speed Test measures how fast and accurately you type, reporting words per minute (WPM) alongside an accuracy percentage with live error highlighting so you can see where you stumble.

WPM uses the standard convention of five characters per 'word', divided by the time elapsed — but the accuracy figure is what makes it honest. A high speed riddled with mistakes isn't real productivity, because errors cost time to fix, which is why net speed accounts for accuracy and why this test surfaces both numbers.

For context, the average adult types around 40 WPM, regular users land around 50–70, and professionals often exceed 70–90. Most jobs that mention typing are satisfied by 50+ WPM with strong accuracy — and across the board, accuracy tends to matter more than raw speed.
