Markdown to HTML

Markdown to HTML converts Markdown — the lightweight, readable syntax used for READMEs, docs, and blogging — into clean, semantic HTML. You write in simple Markdown and get standard tags you can paste anywhere HTML is required.

It supports the everyday Markdown you actually use: headings, bold and italic, lists, links, images, inline and block code, blockquotes, and rules. That covers the vast majority of writing and documentation, turning a pleasant-to-write draft into publish-ready markup without hand-coding tags.

The output is standard semantic HTML (h1–h6, p, ul/ol, a, strong, em, code, and so on), ready for a website, CMS field, or email. As with any HTML you publish, review it — and sanitise it if the Markdown came from untrusted users, the same precaution you'd take with any user-generated content.
