Privacy notice

What we collect and why

• Your IP address, browser type and approximate location (country and city from the network)

  To serve the site, stop abuse through rate limits, and keep a security log of sign-ins and admin actions. Kept for one year, as the DPDP Rules require for logs of processing.

  Any visit

• Technical error reports from a tool that fails (error message, browser and device type, connection type, no IP address and no name)

  To find and fix broken tools. Deleted after 30 days.

  Any visit

• Your email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), optional name, profile picture and bio

  To create and run your account, sign you in, and send you sign-in codes and account emails.

  With an account

• Signed-in devices (IP address, browser, approximate location) and two-factor authentication settings

  To keep your account secure and let you see and sign out every device. Kept for one year after the session ends.

  With an account

• Files, resumes, business documents, drafts, favourites and reviews you choose to save

  To keep them for you across devices, until you delete them or your account.

  With an account

• Support tickets, contact messages and data requests

  To answer you.

  Only if you choose it

• Text, images or documents you send to an AI feature (for example the summariser, humanizer or image generator)

  To produce the result you asked for. Sent to the AI provider (Google Gemini and others named in the privacy policy) and not kept by us after the request.

• Pages visited and tools used, with a random identifier

  Analytics to improve the site. Only if you press Accept on the cookie banner; deleted after 13 months.

• Donation details (name, email, amount; card and bank details stay with PayPal or Razorpay)

  To process and account for a donation.

• Desktop and Android app usage statistics (a random install ID, app version, tools opened, country)

  To improve the apps. Only if you press Allow in the app; deleted after 13 months or when you turn it off.

We do not sell personal data, run advertising, or use your content to train AI models. Content you process in a browser-only tool never reaches us.

Changing your mind

• Analytics: open Privacy choices at the bottom of any page and press Decline. It is one tap, the same as accepting.
• App statistics and notifications: turn off the switch in the app's settings. Turning statistics off deletes what was sent.
• Your account: ask for it to be deleted at toolsmonk.com/account/delete. It is carried out within 30 days and you can cancel until then.
• Anything else: write to the address below.

Your rights

• Get a summary of your personal data and who it was shared with. With an account, Download my data gives you a copy straight away.
• Have it corrected, completed, updated or erased.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to.
• Make a grievance, which we acknowledge within 3 business days and answer within 30 days (never more than the 90 days the law allows).

Complaining to the Board

If you are not satisfied with our answer to a grievance, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Under 18

Accounts are for people aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, you can use every tool without an account, but please do not create one and please decline analytics.
