Pregnancy Calculator estimates your due date, current week, and trimester from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP) — a quick planning tool for the journey ahead.
It uses the standard Naegele's rule: 280 days (40 weeks) from the LMP. This is also why pregnancy is conventionally counted from the last period rather than conception — the LMP is a known date, whereas the exact moment of conception usually isn't, so gestational age runs about two weeks ahead of actual time since conception, keeping measurement consistent for everyone.
Set expectations on accuracy: the due date is an estimate, with only a small fraction of babies arriving exactly on it and a normal birth occurring anywhere from 37 to 42 weeks. If your cycle differs from 28 days, the LMP-based estimate can be off, and an early ultrasound dating scan is more precise.
Crucially, this is a planning aid, not medical care — always confirm dates and monitor your pregnancy with your doctor or midwife. Your details are processed in your browser and never uploaded. Pair it with the other ToolsMonk health tools for general wellness tracking.
If your cycle isn't ~28 days, expect the LMP estimate to be less precise — a dating scan is more accurate
Remember the due date is an estimate; 37–42 weeks is a normal range for arrival
Use it for planning, but confirm all dates with your doctor or midwife
